WH2YTE – Natural Hydrogen Exploration
H2SITE is exploring the potential of natural hydrogen through its participation in the WH2YTE project, an initiative focused on advancing knowledge and technologies for the identification, extraction, and utilization of naturally occurring hydrogen resources.
Natural hydrogen, sometimes referred to as white hydrogen, is gaining increasing attention as a promising low-carbon energy source found naturally in the Earth’s subsurface. Unlocking these resources requires advanced technologies capable of efficiently separating hydrogen from complex gas mixtures present in geological formations.
Within the WH2YTE project, H2SITE contributes its membrane reactor technology, designed to selectively separate and purify hydrogen directly from gas streams. This capability can play a key role in enabling the efficient recovery of hydrogen from natural reservoirs and supporting the development of new sustainable hydrogen supply pathways.
By participating in initiatives such as WH2YTE, H2SITE continues to expand the potential applications of its technology and contribute to the emergence of next-generation hydrogen resources in Europe.
